By the time you read this, heck, by the time I finish typing this, it will be the Leap Year. What are your plans for the New Year?

Since I’m already married, I don’t need to propose to anyone.

It’s an election year. Make sure you’re registered, study the candidates and the issues, and vote. Don’t just complain on social media. Actually vote. Reread the US Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights.

We should have some decent music in the coming year. Listen to it. Sing or play some. Schoolhouse Rock has the Preamble set to music. Someone with more musical talent than I have needs to set the Bill of Rights to music. I volunteer Leslie Fish or Lin-Manual Miranda as tribute for this task.

It’s the year of the Summer Olympics. I may watch some of the competition. You might watch all of it; you might not watch any of it. You might be in Tokyo competing, or you might be at home practicing for the next Olympics. Me, I’ll be working on post-stroke rehabilitation therapy. I would dearly love to be able to use my left arm again.

Writing. My goal is to write and submit twelve or more stories. I’d like to write and submit 52 stories, but I’m afraid that’s not a realistic goal. I also want to work on one or more novels, maybe finish one.

Gaelic. I am attempting to learn Gaelic through Duolingo. What do you want to learn in 2020?

What are your plans for 2020? Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
