The Wicked Witch Comes West
My son discovered a sandwich shop in Chattanooga, WhichWich, and introduced the rest of the family to it. Unfortunately, until recently, the nearest one to us was in Franklin, TN, a good four hour drive or more from Shelby County..
We’ve finally had WhichWich move west to Shelby County, not to Memphis proper, nor to Millington nor Bartlett, but to Collierville, TN, roughly a 45 minute drive from our home.
Their sandwiches aren’t good enough to drive 45 minutes at the current price of gasoline, but my husband needs to go to Collierville on business roughly every month or two, and if he happens to be there around lunchtime, he can stop for a sandwich.
They have an odd way of ordering, which makes it less likely they’ll mess up your order, as is all too common at other fast food restaurants. You take a paper bag when you arrive, and mark on the bag what sort of sandwich you want and which toppings. When the friendly, helpful staff completes your sandwich, they place it in the bag, so you don’t get someone else’s order. The system works well.
Quality and pricewise, they’re equivalent to Lenny’s or Subway. Our only complaint up till now is that we only go to Franklin once a year. They offer milkshakes, which we haven’t tried yet, since soft drinks allow for free refills, and once a milkshake is done, it’s done.
Food: tasty
Service: good
Prices: reasonable.
We’re glad this witch has come to western Tennessee.
