Milano’s: Restaurant Review

I’ve known for years that Milano’s has the best pizza in Millington. I recently confirmed that their sandwiches are just as good as their pizza and pasta.

Milano’s is at 7936 HIGHWAY 51 N. in Millington, TN, just north of Memphis. Like Parisi’s in Chula Vista, CA, Milano’s is reasonably priced with good food, but not fancy. The decor is plain. The portions are generous.

Milano’s is closed two days a week, Sundays, so the cook can go to church, and Mondays, so the kitchen staff can have a weekend.

They have a small but sweet dessert menu: chocolate cheesecake, cannoli, titamisu, cake, and New York-style cheesecake.

I recommend their baked ziti. Their lasagna is not as good as Parisi’s, but it’s good. Their calzones are also quite good. I also recommend the fettucine, both Alfredo and chicken.

I had the ham sandwich the last time we were there. The bread was excellent.

Like Dairy Queen or Culver’s, you order at the counter, but they bring the food to your table. It’s casual dining, like the Quonset in Waukegan, IL.

Milano’s offers pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. They also do catering, but we’ve only eaten in the restaurant.

Milano’s doesn’t require a reservation. You don’t need to put on a suit and tie or a skirt to go eat there. It’s casual and comfortable.

All pasta dishes include bread and salad. They do not offer soup.

Most diners agree Corky’s has the best barbecue in Shelby County. Milano’s has the best pizza in Shelby County.
